I got speeding ticket in the us on UK license 25 years ago plan a visit with family ,Will there be a problem?

got a speeding ticket 25 years ago.I think in N.J on a UK license I went back home soon afterwards,I never heard anything about it afterwards This summer I am planning a trip to the states with my family,I am worried threr could be aproblem at imigration(I’ve read sevearll horrorr stories on the net)If there is a problem coulsd someone tell me how I could resolve it, I dont remember any details about it at all.

Depends on where in the US and whether local, county, state.

There’s a slim chance, but still a CHANCE they’d still have it… I was stopped once and hauled in for a ticket I was certain I paid… has to shell out $130 and it was over with. It’s all about whether anyone ever recorded it so that it would eventually upload to the NCIC computers.
On the other hand, if it does, you’re likely only out the speeding ticket and the court cost— you may have to go to jail to pay it, but then you’re OK…
Try this: set up a car rental and give your license data… there’s a chance a hit would impede your rental. It’s a cheap way to approach.
The other more cool way would be to call the locality/state where you got the ticket and offer to pay it. Chances are you will be honored for doing so and allowed to pay up and go… however there’s a CHANCE they won’t even show it!!! Even if you give them your data and they don’t have it they won’t charge you for it now. Explain you don’t have proof of payment, and you worry about it… they will likely be more than helpful. Don’t lie, and you’ll be fine.
LAST WORD, don’t go anywhere in the US without at least $500 cash on you… some jurisdictions want CASH for you to pay up.
