I bought a Desktop about 6 Months ago, I want to upgrade it, PLease read on for Specifications it has…?

Specifications:

Only 2 things I can think will make any difference

(1) the CPU. I can’t help you with that since I don’t really know AMD CPUs and you can’t put an Intel processor in an AMD mobo. Look up what socket your CPU uses in your documentation and look for a powerful one at NewEgg that works with your motherboard’s slot. Contact the manufacturer first before you purchase to be sure it works with your unit. Also make sure the new one is significantly more powerful. If you’ve never done this before, maybe you should ask someone who has to help. Better that than destroying your computer and throwing hundreds of dollars away.

(2) Invest in a Solid State Hard Drive (SSD). Use it IN ADDITION to your existing hard drive. Do it this way:
[1] Disconnect your old HD
[2] Install and connect the new one
[3] Install Windows on the new drive
[4] Change the visual settings so it looks distinctly different than your current setup.
[5] Shut down your PC and reconnect your old hard drive to another SATA connector on your motherboard
[6] boot up your compy, and configure the BIOS settings so that both SATA jacks are being used, and that the new SSD drive comes before the old drive in boot order.

SSD’s are usually much smaller, so don’t install too much on them. Keep everything on your old HD if you can.
