Would you consider it erratic behavior if your father made you read the entire newspaper to get his money’s?
worth out of it?
This is getting bizarre now – I go over there every Sunday to visit, and especially since it’s Sunday, the most expensive newspaper day, he reads the entire paper front to back, and then he will have me sit down and read it for an hour when I get there – luckily I speed read.
Anyways, before it wasn’t this “structured”. Ever since the economy has tanked, he becomes more and more frugal, and him taking it to this whole new level of getting his money’s worth out of the Sunday paper, and including me in on it too, seems to indicate a mental illness of sorts.
For example, he will quiz me afterwards – What is the weather forecast this week? What is the age range of the obituaries? And he’ll even quiz me on the smaller stories.
This is just strange. Am I losing it, or is he???
He’s always been awfully stingy and frugal, but this is getting to be time consuming for me!
