What is the best speed reading book?

I want to improve my reading speed and comprehension by a considerable amount. Are there any books that would not only tell me how to improve my reading speed but why the techniques work.

I just started to learn speed reading two months ago. I’ve checked with different products. I used speed reading software instead of book, as I found they provide interactive exercises and can keep track of my learning progress.

The software course I’m following is used in some colleges too. It does tell the concepts and even history behind speed reading. I found I can understand the concept behind and practice with their tools and exercises, and my own books or other readings. I’ve included the link in the source for you to check with, and also the customer feedback which makes me choose it.
