can i raise my ACT score by this much?

im retaking my ACT in september, and the 2nd time i took it, my composite score went up only a point. i had a 17 the first time, and the 2nd time i got an 18. the last ACT test i took was in june, so my question is…
do i still have time to raise my ACT score from an 18 to like a 22-24?

im going to take a lot of practice tests, started reading a book to help increase my reading speed, and just practicing and reviewing math and english.

since the reading and science test are strictly just reading and answering questions that can be found in the reading, the english and math are more knowledge based.

my english i got a 19, and my math i didnt do so good. whats the best way to improve both of these scores?

Sure, you can improve your score much better if you practice more and doing those practice tests.

You should try to do those practice tests/problems under timing yourself. Like if the whole math section is 1 hour – then you should only finish it up within 1 hour.

For math – if you already know which math you are having trouble with during the test – practice more of those types.

Reading & Science – speed up your reading/ time yourself .

On the ACT – the avg score for the test is a 21. However, it is still depends on which college/university you want to get into/apply to.

Good luck.
